Who is Qura al-Ain?

Zarintaj Qazvini (Fatima or Umm al-Salma) known as Tahira Qura al-Ain or Tahira Baraghani (born in Qazvin in 1228/1823 AD – died in 1268/1850 AD) was an influential poet and theologian of the Babi religion in Iran. Tahereh was the daughter of “Amneh Khanum Qazvini”, a scholar and “Molasalah Barghani”, and the daughter-in-law of “Sheikh Mohammad Taghi” known as “the third martyr”. Seyyed Kazem Rashti, the leader of Sheikhiya, gave him the nickname “Qara-al-Ain” and Babiya was nicknamed “Tahera”. He was the son of Haj Saleh Qazvini and his wife Mullah Mohammad Barghaei. He was born in Qazvin in 1233 AH. He learned jurisprudence, principles, Arabic language and literature from his father. He studied the works of Sheikh Ahmad Ahsai and Seyyed Kazem Rashti, who were the leaders of the Shaykhiya School, and corresponded and communicated with Seyyed Rashti, and Seyyed Kazem Rashti called him Qura al-Ain in his letters. Studying the works and ideas of Sheikhiya changed his life. For this reason, she left her two sons and one daughter to her husband and went to Karbala to see Seyyed Rashti. When he got to where Sid was in the past. Qara Al-Ain was 29 years old at that time. During his second trip to Karbala, Seyyed Kazem Rashti’s wife kept Tahira in his house for a while, and Qara Al-Ain stayed there and taught the students from behind the curtain. According to these explanations, it is stated in some sources that there is no accurate information about the details and events. It is not his biography and there are no identical sources about him. Bahá’í leaders are trying to name her as a Bahá’í woman, but the fact is that she was a Bábí woman, according to Bábí and Bahá’í missionaries Nabil Zarandi, Fazil Mazandarani and Sheikh Kazem Samaland. From the surviving documents, it is clear that he was one of the disciples of the Bab and a member of the letters of Hai. Mulla Javad Valiani, Tahera’s aunt’s son, who was a Babist for a while, after some time when he realized that he belonged to the Babist sect and realized the anti-Bab rules, he converted to Islam again. In response to his comments regarding the rejection of Ali Muhammad Shirazi and the sect of Babit Mulla Javad, Tahera wrote: The reasons for my belief in the Bab are as follows: As soon as I heard this matter, I confirmed it before visiting the Tafsir Mubarak and the Book of Maknoone. … This great matter, of course, requires a manifestation and a locality, after the Lord has made the fourth and noon pillars of the community and the apparent village understood by the creation and has drawn them to the area of his nearness… Therefore, due to the wisdom of the sages, it is obligatory on him to bring them to himself. left. These statements from Qura al-Ain clearly show that she was a Babi woman and not a Baha’i woman. He believed that Ali Mohammad Shirazi (Bab) is the Qaim of the family of Muhammad and therefore the religion of Islam is abrogated and the Qaim has the right to control the religion and bring new rules for his followers. In the Dasht Badasht incident, with a previous plan and in collusion with Hossein Ali Nouri, he announced the abolition of Islam for the first time and appeared in front of men with makeup and without a hijab. The Babians took his complaint to the Bab, but the Bab called him Tahira gave. Tahira could not appear in public without a hijab until the end of her life. However, Tahira’s reaction to the hijab, leaving her children and husband in pursuit of becoming a Bab, is related to several issues: converting to the Shaykh and being under the teachings of a Shaykh, her sense of ambition and complications arising from marriage and the restrictions she had in her husband’s house. Among the Baha’is, she is known as a woman who was the standard bearer of women’s rights, while Tahereh lived at a time when Iranian women did not have any rights, but it is not heard anywhere that she did anything for the women of that period. Like ISIS women, Awad ordered the murder of her father-in-law Mullah Mohammad Barghani. Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Taghi Barghani was one of the scholars of this period. He played a great role in guiding and guiding the people and fighting against the deviant thoughts of Sheikhiya and Babiya, and finally he was martyred in this way. Undoubtedly, the murder of the late Mullah Mohammad Taghi Barghani was carried out by the Babians and the conspiracy was designed by Qara Al-Ain (one of the special companions of the Bab and part of the letters of Hai). Muhammad Mostafa Baghdadi Baha’i, one of the companions of Qura al-Ain during his last trip to Qazvin, says about this crime: Qura al-Ain told this slave (who was a ten-year-old child at that time) to tell them (the Babians who accompanied Qar al-Ain): Everyone is from Qazvin. Get out, because a huge event will happen in Qazvin, which will shake Qazvin and your blood will be spilled, while God has destined important things for you, especially for you and your father Sheikh Muhammad. I returned home and informed everyone about his clear and urgent matter. They said, come back and tell us why Sheikh Saleh Karimi and Mullah Tabrahim Mahalati don’t leave Qazvin with us. I returned these slaves and brought their complaints to Hazrat Tahirah. They said, go back and tell them: The time of martyrdom of Sheikh Saleh Karimi and Mullah Ibrahim Fazel Mahalati has come and… . After fifteen days, the case of the murder of Haj Malataghi, the great scholar of Qazvin, came up; Because every day he went to the pulpit and cursed Sheikh Tohamad Ehsai and Seyyed Kazem Rashti, who were the evangelists of the coming of the Most High, and he also cursed the Most High and incited and seduced the people to enmity and enmity with the believers. Until God made someone dominant to take revenge on him. The cruel enemies attributed this slander to Sheikh Saleh Karimi and Mulla Ibrahim Mahalati and sent Mulla Ibrahim as a martyr and Mulla Saleh to Tehran, even though those two oppressors were not involved in the murder of that cursed man (Mulla Taqi) and were cleared of slander. Indeed, why does Muhammad Mustafa Baghdadi, who was a ten-year-old child at the time and was not even present in Qazvin, firmly claim that Mullah Saleh and Mullah Ibrahim did not intervene in the murder? The historiography of Mohammad Mostafa Baghdadi and the examination of the series of events that took place during the period of Qara al-Ain’s arrival in Qazvin until his escape from prison and his arrival in Tehran, as well as Qara al-Ain’s deep hatred for his uncle and former father-in-law, leaves no doubt that this murder was planned and directly led by Qara al-Ain And his arrangements have been made with other Babiya leaders; Because Bahá’u’lláh immediately after the arrest of Qara al-‘Ain tried to release him from prison and succeeded in releasing him easily. One of the Bahá’í writers writes about this: Bahá’u’lláh ordered Mr. Muhammad (Hadi Farhadi) to go to Qazvin and secretly bring Mr. Tahira to Tehran and hand him over to Mr. Kalim. Agha Mohammad (Hadi Farhadi) secretly took Tahira to Tehran and took her to Jamal Mubarak’s house. Her arrest was due to her involvement and cooperation in the assassination of Naser al-Din and the riots against the country’s national security. He was arrested and executed. The date of the killing of Qura al-Ain was the first of Dhu al-Qa’da 1268. By God, he was called Baha’ism twice. Therefore, there is a gap of 16 years between her separation from the Babies and the declaration of Bahá’í independence and her death, which shows that Tahira was not a Bahá’í. The interesting thing about him is that until the end of his life, Tahira considered Sobh Azal (Hossein Ali Nouri’s elder brother) as the successor of Bab!!
