The reasons and objectives of the colonialists for the formation and strengthening of the Baha’i sect

The emergence of sects in every historical period is the result of special conditions and factors; But with the presence of the phenomenon of colonialism in contemporary Iran, political reasons have been more effective than other conditions in the emergence of this sect. In the meantime, circles such as secret societies, Masonic lodges, and sects such as “Babbit” and “Bahá’í” are clear examples that were born and raised with the direct intervention of colonialism.
The purpose of this action is to infiltrate the government structures through affiliated elites, to de-traditionalize and formalize social and cultural relationships and links, to neutralize the factors and elements of stability against foreign culture, to touch upon new definitions of religiosity and religiosity, the successor Building for religious institutions and ultimately economic and cultural domination over Iran was one of the main goals of colonialism in forming these groups.
Explanation that; The 19th century is the height of the power of some colonial empires such as England, Russia and France, all three of which are involved with the Islamic world and face a kind of resistance among the people.
In finding the roots and causes of this resistance, they have studied the religious texts and religious authority in the last few centuries and its impact on popular resistance movements and resistance against colonialism, such as the fatwa of Jihad by the scholars in the Iran-Russia war, the Tungistan movement. against England, the cancellation of the Reuters agreement, the tobacco movement, etc., they came to the conclusion that Islamic religious beliefs and information among Muslims have caused such resistance against colonialists’ influence and aggression, and this issue exists in non-Muslim areas.
As the Russians face the all-out resistance of the Iranian people during their campaign to the Caucasus; The Jihadi treatise, which was published during the time of Mirza Bozor Farahani with the signatures of more than 100 of the great Shia scholars of the time, encourages the people to fight against the invading Russian army, and even at the beginning of the second period of the Iranian-Russian wars, they won, although unfortunately due to The weakness and incompetence of the government at the time, and the betrayal of some generals, this victory did not last.
During that war, the tsar’s court realized the “religious” resistance of the Iranian nation and observed that Shi’ism is a nuisance to them and other rulers.
Based on this, in order to be able to remove this obstacle from their path, the colonialists put various measures in their agenda, one of the most important and dangerous of which is the creation of fictitious and eclectic professions and religions using It is from Islamic culture and teachings. For these reasons, they put sectarianism on the basis of the existing religion. They created Babism and Bahaism in Iran, Wahhabism in Ottoman, and Qadiani in India.

The goals of the colonists
The most important goals that the colonial powers pursued in this regard are:
1- Creating internal conflict
The division of the country and the attempt to break the national unity and authority of Iranians, which has emerged around the axis of Shiism since the time of the Safavids, and threatened the interests of arrogant and colonial powers.
2- Creating deviation and weakening the religious and belief foundations of the people
From this point of view, on the one hand, sectarianism is the basis for religious differences and conflicts, and on the other hand, it can destroy many of the intellectual foundations of the Islamic world, which are incompatible with the goals of colonialism. And on the other hand, to cause the complete digestion of the Islamic identity in the western culture to ensure the interests of the colonial governments.
3- Putting pressure on the government
In order to get more points and prevent the recapture of the lost areas of Iran, and as a result, to secure the interests and sinister plot of the colonialists. In this regard, with their studies in the Shia religion, they consider the issue of “Mahadism and the Promised End of the World” as a suitable platform to destroy the Shia religion and pursue their own interests, and for this reason, they raise the issue of Babism and then Bahaism.
Imam Khomeini says in this context: Islam and the Jafari religion are a barrier against foreigners and their puppets, whether right or left, and the clergy that protects it is a barrier, despite which foreigners cannot interact with the countries as they wish. Islam, especially the country of Iran, so for centuries they have been planning for this barrier with various tricks, sometimes by dominating their evildoers over Islamic countries, and sometimes by creating false religions and promoting Babism, Bahaism, and Wahhabism.
Also, in order to achieve the complete digestion of Islamic identity in the Western culture, in order to fully secure the interests of the Western governments in Islamic societies, the colonialists had to act in three stages:
1- Complete negation of Islamic identity
2- Emphasis on national and ancient identity
3- Tendency towards cosmopolitanism and sacrificing national identity in front of the dependent global role and identity.
The first step in Iran was taken by the Babians, who officially announced the abolition of Islamic Sharia and the permissibility of mahrams during the Dast Badasht process.
The second step, which had a strong and dubious emphasis on the Mullah and the revival of the national and ancient identity, was taken by Azlian (Nazir Agha Khan Kermani) along with religious secular intellectuals.
The third step was also taken by the Baha’is (Hossein Ali Nouri himself and his son Abdul Baha and the Baha’is) who emphasized coexistence with all religions and religious pluralism and cosmopolitanism, and this is the most modern method in assimilating and fully digesting the cultural, political and economic of Iranians and other nations. It is considered in the globalized culture, politics and economy of the West and especially America.
And finally, there are numerous historical documents and authentic evidences regarding the dependence of Babism and Bahaism on Russian colonialism, England, Zionism and then American support and their role in the emergence, strengthening and continuation of this sect.
